If you're looking for a pure voice and clean renditions of Hawaiian standards, Nina - produced, arranged and directed by Jack deMello - is the recording you'll want to add to your collection. Nina Keali'iwahamana will take you on an enchanting journey as her crisp soprano is truly the voice of aloha.

The track starts with a haunting rendition of Princess Likelike's love song, "Ku'u Ipo I Ka He'e Pu'e One." Other tracks of note include Jack Pitman's "Beyond the Reef" sung completely in Hawaiian, "Maunawili" originally a Portuguese folk song, and the "Moloka'i Waltz" (He Nani Ku Kilakilakila).

Nina was raised in the musical family of 'I'i Rodrigues and was virtually born into Hawaiian music. Her illustrious career has taken her captivating art on tour throughout Europe, the mainland and the Orient. In the liner notes, Jack deMello notes "an orchestra composed of 72 of England's finest musicians applauded Nina even though they didn't understand one word of what she was singing."

Accompanied on many tracks by a full orchestra, Nina is a rich recording that poignantly represents the magic of the islands.
